(*)Students know and understand the principles of the more advanced biochemical methods (k1, k2), can perform such experiments (k3), analyze the results (k4), and draw conclusions (k5). Students can apply this knowledge and design experiments for needed analyses (k6).

(*)Comparison of protein separation by SDS-PAGE using different concentrations of acrylamide and in gradient gels. Comparison of staining of SDS-PAGE separated proteins using different methods (Ponceau, CBB, silver). Electroblotting of proteins and its use - immunoblotting, lectinoblotting; sensitivity and specificity of immunoblotting; Schiff staining of glycoproteins. Protein labelling using FITC and visualization using SDS-PAGE. Learning of the advanced methods in biochemistry
