(*)The courses KV Introduction to Physics for Chemistry, VL Physics for Chemistry, and UE Exercises in Physics for Chemistry form an integrated didactic unit, where the learning outcomes are achieved through combined and concurrent participation in all three courses.
The course in Introduction to Physics for Chemistry aims to equip students with a basic understanding of physics in the field of mechanics, enabling them to
• define terms in physics such as mass, force, potential, work, energy and momentum, and differentiate them from colloquial terms.
• explain physical laws such as the conservation of momentum and energy and apply them to simple problems in mechanics related to aspects encountered in chemistry.
