(*)Students will be able to understand industrial challenges and processes by selected lecturers from industry invited to the University for introducing their special field of chemistry.

(*)More specifically, upon completion of the course, they will be able to: • Understand and explain the various activities, techniques, and systems involved in the production or manufacturing of goods. (k2) • Understand and explain how raw materials are transformed into finished products. (k2) • Understand and explain how machinery and equipment operate, and how different stages of production are managed. (k2, k5) (*)Underlying concepts and details of: • Process design (e.g., sequence of operations, batch and/or continuous production) • Machinery, equipment, and automation • Quality control and management • Materials and supply chain management • Safety protocols • Energy and environmental management • Maintenance management • Product design and innovation • Human resources and workforce management
