Learning Outcomes

Students acquire a solid basic knowledge of public and nonprofit management and know their special features. They are able to assess the impact of these challenges on the management of such organizations - also in light of current challenges.

  • LO3: Students can independently apply the basic knowledge taught to real practical examples.
  • LO4: Students can analyze the effects of the special features of public companies and private NPOs and critically reflect on their effects.
  • LO5: Students can assess in which areas of public and nonprofit management knowledge from the commercial sector can be adopted and in which adaptations may be necessary.
Learning Outcomes

  • LO1: Students know the essential basics of public and nonprofit management.
  • LO2: Students learn the special features of public administrations, public companies and private NPOs and understand their impact on the management of such organizations.
Criteria for evaluation The assessment in this course is based on an individual written exam (duration: 60 minutes). 60 points can be achieved in this, with at least 50% (30.5 points) having to be achieved in order to receive a positive grade. There is the option of repeating this (re-exam).

Feedback culture: The feedback includes individual feedback when viewing the exam or re-exam (on a voluntary basis).

  • Partial inputs (guest lecture) by experts from practice
