Criteria for evaluation |
The overall assessment is based on two key performance elements: the simulation game (max. 40 points) and a final exam (max. 60 points).
To be assessed positively, students must achieve at least 50% of the points in each performance element.
Synchronization of learning outcomes and assessments:
- LO1, LO3, LO4, LO5: exam (theoretical questions and case studies)
- LO2: simulation game
- LO5: simulation game and group work (quality of teamwork and collaboration during the simulation game, ability to reflect within the team, optimization and further development of strategic approaches through teamwork)
Feedback culture:
The feedback includes ongoing feedback as part of the simulation game (including group work) as well as individual feedback when viewing the exam and seminar paper (voluntary).

Methods |
The course uses a combination of different teaching methods to
- maximize the motivation and attention of the students.
- achieve the learning objectives in the didactically best way.
To achieve the teaching and learning objectives, different methods are used in the flipped classroom format:
- Self-directed learning with the help of given literature and materials
- Case studies in which the students analyze real or simulated business situations in order to identify problems and develop strategic solutions.
- Business game and business simulation: As part of a business game, the students simulate business decisions and experience the effects of their strategies in a controlled, practical environment.
- Guest speakers from the business world offer the students practical insights and promote understanding of how strategic management is applied in reality.
- Self-directed learning and reflection exercises followed by plenary discussions
