  • LO1: Students acquire the skills to analyze and critically reflect on leadership behavior, as well as to identify challenges in personnel management and formulate appropriate solutions.
  • LO2: Students strengthen their presentation and communication skills and acquire the ability to design learning formats and make them didactically valuable.

  • LO3: Students can discuss, reflect on and use different HRM practices in an organizational context.
  • LO4: Students improve their skills in the creation and presentation of scientific papers and the design of learning formats.

  • LO5: Students know the basic leadership theories and can use these to explain and classify the advantages and disadvantages of individual concepts.
  • LO6: Students understand the key tasks of managers with personnel responsibility, including recruitment, induction of new employees, personnel assessment, design of incentive systems and personnel development as well as the challenges associated with their implementation.
Criteria for evaluation A total of 100 points can be achieved in this seminar.

  • Conception and delivery of a course unit (group work): 50%
  • Peer feedback (individual work): 15%
  • Seminar paper (individual work): 35%

Minimum requirement: 50% in all partial performances

Feedback: Constructive feedback both within the course and on each individual and group performance.

  • LO5 and LO6: seminar paper, conception and delivery of a course unit
Methods To achieve the teaching and learning objectives, different methods are used in the Flipped Classroom Format:

  • Self-directed learning with the help of given literature and materials
  • Theory-based, interactive learning in small groups including reflection and feedback in plenary
  • Application of know-how in the design of different learning formats, which include a mixture of theoretical inputs, practical exercises and phases of critical reflection using different media to present complex content in an understandable way
