- Conducting calcium imaging experiments in cell lines and primary cells
- Analyzing and interpreting the obtained results.
- Identification of different protocols for distinct scientific questions.
- Trouble shooting and optimization of protocols.

- Basic understanding of cell physiology and calcium signaling.
- Methodologic principles of calcium imaging, including ratiometric calcium dyes and genetically encoded calcium indicators (GECIs).
- Knowledge of distinct imaging methods and their applications.

Criteria for evaluation |
Attendance of at least 75 %.
Active participation during the course. Teachers will judge on students´ learning behavior and experimental results to give evaluation.
