Lernergebnisse
Kompetenzen
(*)Practical laboratory course on electrophysiological techniques to study cellular signals in the context of pharmacological perturbations. Goal is the transmission of theoretical and practical knowledge in pharmacology research, applying specialized techniques incl. calcium flux analysis (Anglerfish instrument, live-detection via flow cytometry), and electrophysiology (patch-clamp). The pharmacological targets may vary each year, owing to current research and interest in the field. Focus will be on cellular signals and perturbation of immune cells.
Fertigkeiten Kenntnisse
(*)Students will gain hands-on experience in electrophysiology (patch-clamp), calcium imaging, and signal transduction analysis by flow cytometry. (*)Pharmacology / electrophysiology / calcium flux / live-flow cytometry / cell culture
Beurteilungskriterien (*)Attendance of at least 80 %

Laboratory behavior, documentation & data analysis (group work)

Lehrmethoden (*)Practical laboratory course, theoretical and hands-on training
Abhaltungssprache Englisch
Literatur (*)The course includes a discussion of current and relevant literature
