Ziele |
(*)The integration of systems and their processed information is a main requirement in interconnected and cooperative environments. This course enables students
- to plan and manage the integration of information systems
- to select appropriate integration architectures for large projects
- to identify, assess, and resolve data quality issues
- to apply state-of-the-art methods for ontological engineering
- to represent and query knowledge graphs using RDF, OWL, and SPARQL
- to get insights into real-word integrated business applications

(*)This course presents different kinds of information, classifies problems of information integration processes and introduces the most important architectures as well as characteristics of integrated systems. Moreover, methods for semantic integration based on ontologies and knowledge representation languages are explained. Additionally, business applications of integrated information systems are presented. Practical experience is gained by using the methods and applying them in exercises and examples.
