Objectives Students possess deepened knowledge in the modules and subjects chosen within the core competences Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering and Communications Engineering (extending the respective basic and core competence).
Subject Special competence in Business informatics is acquired by completing the subordinate subjects. Details on the contents can be found at the subordinate subjects' pages.
Further information Each of the subjects can be completed in different depth by choosing them to the extent of 6, 12 or 18 ECTS. Altogether students have to choose a minimum of 36 ECTS from special competences in Business Informatics (if modules or subjects already have been chosen in the Bachelor curriculum for individual specialization of basic and core competences, those modules or subjects cannot be chosen again in the Master curriculum).

Each of the four subordinate subjects Information Engineering & Management, Service Engineering, Business Intelligence and Business Engineering & Management has to be completed to a minimum extent of 6 ECTS.

Completion and selection of the modules is subject to the following rules: within the subject Service Engineering, the module Service Engineering has to be taken first, and within the subject Business Engineering & Management, the module Business Engineering & Management has to be chosen first. Within the subjects Information Engineering & Management and Business Intelligence, one module each can be chosen without restrictions.

Other modules can be chosen freely to the minimum extent of 12 ECTS according to individual affinity and interest to complete the 36 ECTS.
