| Objectives |
The seminar draws on the latest state of the art research of the modul regarding theories and intersectional analyses of the digital society. In particular, it allows students to gain profound insights into the feminist and intersectional research on technology as well as theoretical approaches and empirical studies on the digital transformation of capitalism and society and the relations of gender, race and class.

The seminar consists of profound readings, reflections and discussions of theoretical approaches and empirical studies on the digital transformation of capitalism and society and social inequalities in the relations of gender, race and class. Reconstructing important steps in the history of feminist and intersectional analyses of technological developments, it focusses on: international debates in the field, the analysis of power and dominance and social inequalities, research on the development, implementation and use of technologies in different spheres of life (like robotics, social media etc.) from feminist and intersectional perspectives. I strives to point out the interrelations between the digital transformation of the society and social inequalities, power and dominance in the relations on gender, race and class. Teaching and learning procedures vary: reading, discussing, comparing theoretical approaches; reconstructing historical developments and their scientific interpretation; comparing international theoretical and empirical state of the art research.
