Objectives
Students acquire in-depth knowledge of theories, methods and current research literature in the field of health psychology and can apply this knowledge particularly in the areas of business and technology. They have a holistic understanding of health and illness and know the conditions and factors that contribute to the prevention of illness, promotion of health and rehabilitation. They acquire theoretical and practical knowledge for carrying out health psychology assessments and interventions in a business context (e.g., measures for workplace health promotion, the concept of healthy leadership) and learn about and reflect on the possibilities of using new media and technologies for health psychology issues (e.g., fitness trackers and mHealth apps, electronic health records, health portals).
