Objectives
Students acquire advanced knowledge of test theory, scaling procedures and psychological test models. They are able to explain the basic principles and objectives of the procedures, assess their correct application in specific situations and evaluate the findings obtained with regard to their validity and limitations. They will acquire the ability to plan the acquisition of diagnostic data, integrate it appropriately and use it as a basis for psychological interventions in various applied areas of psychology. They will be able to plan a diagnostic assessment process for specific issues in certain applied areas of psychology, taking into account professional ethical regulations, prepare psychological assessments appropriately and be able to assess the appropriateness of other assessments. They are able to communicate the knowledge gained through the diagnostic process in a manner appropriate to the target group and derive specific recommended actions. Students are thus able to integrate the discussed topics into the context of psychological diagnostics.
