Objectives Students acquire in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of selected methods of univariate and multivariate statistics. They can explain the basic principle of the methods, are informed about their prerequisites and can assess their correct application possibilities for specific situations. Students can apply the methods to empirical data using modern statistical software, interpret the resulting findings and recognise limitations in possible conclusions. They acquire advanced knowledge of psychological research methods and evaluation methodology. They will learn about current standards of scientific transparency and be able to use appropriate web-based publication and quality assurance processes. They will be able to develop psychological questions and develop suitable research designs, taking into account legal and ethical framework conditions.
