Original study plan |
Bachelor's programme Business Informatics 2022W |
Objectives |
Students are enabled to responsibly fill all relevant roles in software development projects. They are capable to estimate their knowledge of software engineering methods, concepts, approaches, etc. from experience gained in a practical context. Furthermore they are able to integrate knowledge from social and economic science, engineering, and law in a team context and to be able to conduct negotiations and to accomplish goals.
|
Subject |
Application of the knowledge gained in the module methods and concepts in a software project (such as desktop application, mobile application, or web application) with reasonable complexity. Besides technical aspects, management, negotiation, team organisation, communication and conflict resolution are applied.
|
Criteria for evaluation |
The course has immanent examinations. The intensity and professionalism of the participation in the development team as well as the quality of the developed software (including the documentation) form the basis for the evaluation.
|
Methods |
The couse challenges students in applying the contents of the module Applications in Software Engineering. In the context of the course students independently plan, specify, develop and test a software product and also apply UI design principles. Students work in teams and apply modern software engineernig tools, e.g. UI prototyping tools, code repositories, unit-testing frameworks, bugtracking tools, build-management tools. The work products of the students are jointly reviewed and improved throughout the course.
