Objectives |
The objectives of this lecture on Superconductivity and Low-temperature Physics are: (1) introduction to the field of cryogenics, i.e. how to achieve low and ultralow temperatures by different physical methods; (2) introduction to superconductivity, a phenomenon which is observed with many different materials at low temperature; (3) introduction to superconducting materials and their technical applications.
