Objectives |
The students will learn how to classify the behaviour of dynamical systems, in a journey from simple one dimensional examples to more complex structures, all the way to chaotic dynamics.

Subject |
Dynamical systems: one-dimensional flows; bifurcations; linear, nonlinear systems and phase plane; flows on the circle; limit cycles. Chaos: Lorenz equations; fractals; strange attractors.
