Ziele
(*)The course provides in depth information on modern, state-of-the-art techniques in mass spectrometry. These include various ionization methods for liquids, solids and gaseous samples, as well as high resolution mass analyzers and ion mobility mass spectrometry. Exercises cover topics regarding successful hyphenation of separation techniques with mass spectrometry, interpretation of mass spectra signals, understanding MS fragmentation patterns as well as the interpretation of IR spectra.
