Objectives |
This lecture provides base knowledge of chemical reaction engineering. The course focuses on the quantitative evaluation of chemical reactions in ideal reactors.

Physical and physicochemical basics of chemical reaction engineering (stoichiometry, thermodynamics, kinetics, adsorption/chemisorption, mass transfer), mass and heat balances, residence time behaviour, conversion calculations, dimensionless quantities, ideal reactors: batch reactor (BR), plug flow reactor (PFR), continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR), stirred tank cascade
