Objectives |
The main objective of the course is to develop a comprehensive understanding for energy management and it's relevance for the materials manufacturing and processing industry. In addition, the students' competences in the field of technical-scientific research and presentation will be deepened.

The following key topics will be addressed:
- Energy production, consumption, distribution and storage
- fossil energy system and industrial processes
- consequences of the energy transition on material manufacturers

Criteria for evaluation |
Assessment criteria include:
- 70% result of the written exam
- 30% result of the seminar presentation
|
Methods |
The course includes 3 methodological approaches:
- Lectures (involvement of experts from industry)
- Seminar on given topics
