Objectives |
To learn the overall methodology of polymer product and process development. Both theoretical approaches and pratical skills will be introduced, explained and discussed.
|
Subject |
Several selected methods and procedures of the product development (i.e., product design methods, material selection physical and virtual prototyping, manufacturing and design of tools, process and component simulation tools) will be explained in detail and their applicability discussed based on practical examples.
The participants of the course will elaborate a homework. The homework involves the reviews of a selected book chapter and the concept design of a polymeric component.
