Objectives |
Students will be able to describe the steps involved in the production of microscopic specimens and the structure of the light microscope and explain its application. They know the electron microscope. The students can discuss the histological structure of epithelial tissue, supporting and connective tissue, muscle tissue and nerve tissue.

Preparation of histological specimens (fixation, cutting, staining), light microscope (structure and use), principle of electron microscopy (with examples), epithelia, connective tissue, supporting tissue (cartilage, bone), nervous tissue (PNS, CNS), muscle tissue (striated and smooth muscles, heart).
