Detailed information |
Original study plan |
Bachelor's programme Mechanical Engineering 2022W |
Objectives |
After successfully engaging with the topics of this course, students will be able to
- explain the fundamentals of the operation of turbo-machines,
- design impellers of radial and axial fans,
- design basic guiding devices,
- analytically estimate pressure losses of pipe systems,
- explain the fundamentals of heat exchangers,
- calculate and design basic heat exchangers.
The level of mathematical modeling and analysis of the mentioned topics is comparable to the level of the textbooks: Carolus, Ventilatoren, Teubner 2003 and Böswirth, Technische Strömungslehre, Vieweg 2007
