Bachelor's programme Mechanical Engineering 2023W |
Objectives |
Understanding the role of models along the whole product lifecycle (PLC). Among others, this includes product models as mappings of products in all phases of the PLC, procedure models as mappings of engineering and business processes, process models as mappings of processes within production, logistics, commissioning, maintenance, services up to product re-use or recycling. Knowledge of most important CAx-models and CAx-tools for product development. Familiarity with common modelling and simulation approaches, with approaches for model development including model planning. Ability to apply different approaches of model development and to use simulation techniques for system analysis. Competencies in model verification and validation.
