Objectives In this class, different pathways for recycling of plastics are discussed. Students are able to learn some insights and challenges together with future prospects.
Subject Starting with an overview of the various recycling pathways (energetic recycling, chemical recycling, and mechanical recycling) and the legislative frameworks, the course allows for insights in different process steps of the recycling pathways. Furthermore, effects of different process steps on the final material properties are shown.
Criteria for evaluation Written exam with transparent point system and corresponding grading.
Methods Lectures with PowerPoint and Handouts.

Further information This course is held either in German or English in consultation with the students. At least, lecture notes or book recommendations will be provided in German and English. The examination can be taken in either German or English.
