Objectives After completing the course, students are aware of the interactions between individual business units, but also between the company and its relevant environments. They recognize the necessity of a process-oriented, integrated management that is adapted to the specific institutional framework (context). They are also able to apply this knowledge to examples (e.g. case studies at beginner level) and in this context also recognize central special features of service provision in service companies.

  • The company and its interactions with the relevant (legal, economic, ecological, social, technological, political, etc.) environments
  • Process-oriented, integrated (service) management
  • The idea of sustainability and circular economy
  • The sectoral context of management (esp. management in for-profit companies, social enterprises, public institutions, private non-profit organizations)
  • Deepening of theoretical approaches in business administration (e.g. systems theory, stakeholder theory, institutional economics approaches, etc.) and their relevance for individual management areas.
