Objectives
  • Knowledge: Students are familiar with the standards of good scientific practice in the field of legal studies. In particular, they are acquainted with legal methodology and the most important citation rules. They have basic knowledge regarding the planning and execution of legal research studies.
  • Skills: Students can effectively plan and carry out legal research projects, and critically analyze and evaluate relevant sources.
  • Competence: Students are capable of writing legal studies papers according to ethical standards.
Subject Introduction to scientific research methods in legal studies, techniques for jurisprudence and literature research and analysis, standards of good scientific practice in the field of legal studies.
Criteria for evaluation Course examination. The assessment is based on exams, written (online) tests, homework assignments, oral examinations, and/or participation in the course. Specific assessment criteria will be announced at the beginning of the course.
