| Objectives |
The students develop an understanding of the structural impact of the category of gender in the law. They are capable of recognizing and understanding the role of the law in the production and maintenance of gender orders, as well as different legal notions or concepts of gender. The students acquire the skill to analyze theoretical concepts, compare them, and apply them to practical legal examples.

(*)Die Lehrveranstaltung setzt sich vertieft mit zentralen Fragestellungen und Ansatzpunkten der Legal Gender Studies auseinander. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Auseinandersetzung mit unterschiedlichen Strömungen der Gendertheorie sowie eine Konstruktion von Geschlecht in der Rechtstheorie und der Rechtsanwendung.
