(*)The participants have the knowledge to plan, analyze, and present a clinical trial regarding biostatistical aspects.

(*)- identifying relevant information needed to plan a clinical trial
- statistical methods for data analysis and sample size estimation
- writing a study plan (including application form for institutional review board and statistical analysis plan)
- writing a study report and presenting study results

| Beurteilungskriterien |
(*)Attendance of 80% is mandatory. It is not possible to achieve a positive grade, if requirements concerning attendance cannot be fulfilled. The final grade is based on a seminar paper and presentation of this seminar paper. The seminar paper covers a study plan and study report of a simulated clinical trial (trial data provided by the course instructor). The seminar paper can be written in groups.
