Objectives |
The aim of this part of the course is to provide an overview of the main features of the ongoing process of world economic globalization, with a special focus on the Italian economy. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between some peculiarities of the Italian manufacturing system, which is dominated by very small firms and very traditional sectors (i.e. textile and clothing, leather and shoes, mechanical, ceramic tiles), and its decreasing competitiveness in the international market.
