Objectives After completing this course, students will be able to apply central concepts of business administration with confidence and will be able to place the special content taught in advanced and supplementary courses in a comprehensive (reference) framework. They are familiar with important theoretical approaches in business administration and in this context also recognize how secondary education and university education systems differ in analysis and treatment of business administration phenomena.
  • Value creation and value creation processes (the operational value cycle)
  • Operational performance and operational financial system
  • The representation of operational performance and financial flows in accounting
  • Basic functions of corporate management
  • Theoretical approaches in business administration (e.g. systems theory, stakeholder theory, institutional economics approaches, etc.) and their significance for individual management areas
