Students know different research methods and techniques that are suitable for the scientific investigation of problems in the field of Business Informatics and are able to apply them in projects.

Design and realization of research projects, scientific publishing and reviewing, quantitative and qualitative research methods, experimental research methods, case studies, methods of proof, theoretical and applied research.

The course ”Empirical Methods” establishes an understanding for empirical research, the course “Formal Methods” establishes an understanding for design research.
Instead of course „KS Empirische Methoden“ and „KS Formale Methoden“ the Modul „Design Science (6 ECTS, 4 SS)“ from the Doctorate Study Social Sciences, Economics & Business can be chosen.
