Students acquire deepened knowledge about theoretical approaches and crucial empirical research findings for the analysis and assessment of historical and contemporary social transformation processes of work, economic forms, life worlds, technologies, culture and politics. They have the ability to apply scientific knowledge of different sociological areas or research to a specific research process and to write a scientific report under guidance. The students learn the (theory-led) planning, execution and evaluation of empirical research projects as well as the specific application of qualitative and quantitative inquiries of research data as well as its analysis.
