Objectives Students get familiar with basic mathematical concepts and their application in economics. In all areas we connect to computer-supported problem solving in order to prepare students for real-life situations when being confronted with mathematical questions.
Subject Sets, functions, differential calculus in one and more variables, multi-dimensional optimization, systems of linear equations, matrices, linear optimization (linear programming).

Criteria for evaluation Two-part exam (open book)
Methods Flipped Classroom with theory units on video and on-campus-units for discussing and solving exercises.

Study material Lecture notes and slides available online.
