Objectives Students learn the fundamentals of empirical research in economics. In particular, the class teaches how to choose appropriate data, research designs, and methods to answer economic questions.
Subject Introduction to causality theory, data types and acquisition, choice of appropriate research designs for different economic questions, descriptive methods and visual data analysis, bivariate regression models.
