Apart from the knowledge of general concepts, traditional modes of thinking and contemporary approaches about social structures, processes and dynamics on the one hand, basic knowledge about study designs and methods of data collection, analysis and interpretation on the other hand, knowledge in specific sociological fields – special sociologies – constitutes an indispensable fundament of the bachelor courses of sociology.
As part of the Special Sociologies the following fields of sociological research as well as areas of professional employment for sociologists will be treated: family, health, economy and enterprises, migration, organisation and employment, politics, deviant behaviour.
