Objectives Students are able to reflect upon leadership models on the basis of theoretical concepts and connect them with their personal experience. Students understand the challenges of leadership in organizations and are able to reflect their own role in this context. A special emphasis is placed on leadership challenges in the context of human resource management. Discussion, reflection, and exercises on the leadership concepts introduced in the course support learning.
  • Discussion of current leadership models and concepts
  • Challenges of leadership in the context of HRM (esp. Communication and Motivation)
  • The role of leadership in organizations
  • Developing of a leadership identity
Criteria for evaluation Seminar paper, active participation, refections and presentations
Methods We use theoretical inputs, self study phases, case studies, as well as work and exercises in small groups that facilitate reflection of the teaching content.
