Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Mechatronics 2023W
Objectives Students know and understand the basic principles and aspects relevant for the design of electric machines, drives, and actuators. Students know relevant materials, force and torque generation, winding design, and loss components. Students know the basic principles on the design process for corresponding components.

The level for considering the mentioned topics roughly corresponds to the relevant chapters in Krause, Paul C. et al.: Introduction to modern analysis of electric machines and drives, 1st ed., John Wiley & Sons, (2023) and Stölting, Hans-Dieter et al.: Handbook of Fractional-Horsepower Drives, 3rd ed., Springer, (2008).
