Ziele
(*)This lectures focuses on the art of problem solving. Special focus is put on concrete problems and on how they can be attacked by mathematical concepts using algorithmic tools. Besides being trained in this regard, the participants receive advice about how to give attractive talks and how to write comprehensible articles.
Lehrinhalte
(*)The techniques of thinking, speaking and writing are discussed by a variety of suitable topics from mathematics, in particular computer algebra, and more generally in symbolic computation.
Beurteilungskriterien
(*)The participants will carry out concrete tasks to elaborate on a mathematical problem, to present it accordingly and to summarize it with a short written note.
