Ziele (*)In this class, focus is given on the performance of plastics recyclates and recycled products. Furthermore, the relevance of adequate quality assurance system is shown.
Lehrinhalte (*)The material composition and the overall performance of plastics recyclates is dependent on the pre-treatment of the feedstock. Hence, quality begins with an adequate waste collecting system followed by the waste treatment (sorting, shredding, washing, etc.) and the final conversion into new granules and/or products. The course contains insights into quality assurance systems and conveys the importance of specification and certification schemes.
