Objectives This lecture provides the fundamentals within the basic engineering area. It enables the students to explore the activities in which modern chemical engineers are involved.

  • Pumps, vessels, pipes and valves and field devices
  • Required materials and corrosion resistances
  • Creating and calculating flow charts
  • Stepwise development of a process plant design
  • Process for cost estimation
Criteria for evaluation Results of individual and group works during the class and also from homeworks
Methods Lecture with parallel training and implementation of design examples in groups
