Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Mechatronics 2023W
Objectives Mastery of a computer algebra system for modeling of dynamic systems, for designing dynamic systems and their analysis

Learning methods for the efficient derivation of simulation models for numerical simulation also with the help of automatic code generation

Efficient implementation and testing of controllers in a simulation environment and in the laboratory

The level of the mathematical methods used to describe the dynamic systems, to design the control laws and to synthesize the control circuits corresponds roughly to that in the textbooks C.T. Chen, Linear System Theory and Design, Saunders College Publishing, 1984 New York; F. Gausch, A. Hofer, K. Schlacher, Digitale Regelkreise, Oldenbourg 1993, Wien

Subject
  • Mathematical modeling using a computer algebra system and implementation of the models in a simulation tool
  • Parameter identification for 1st and 2nd order delay elements
  • State controller and state observer design for linear time invariant systems
  • Stability analysis in the state and frequency domain
  • Transfer functions, controller design in the frequency domain
  • Implementation of the models with control in a numerical simulation environment and testing of the controllers for the continuous and discrete-time case
  • Testing the discrete-time regulations using laboratory models
