Objectives Students know and understand the physical principles and operation of the most important imaging measurement techniques and are capable of independently deepening this knowledge and skills for imaging applications in science and technology. They are able to

  • quantitatively explain the physical principles of imaging measurement techniques
  • Explain instrument components and their function
  • Explain the mathematical principles of tomographic techniques and describe their technical implementation
  • Compare different imaging techniques and evaluate them in terms of technical complexity and measurement quality.
