Detailed information |
Original study plan |
Bachelor's programme Mechanical Engineering 2023W |
Objectives |
Students know and understand the basics of measurement based on the measurement chain and can apply them to simple tasks. They are able to:
- find suitable instruments, methods and sensors for a given measurement task as well as to evaluate and understand their application range and limits
- determine the measurement uncertainty of a measurement system
|
Subject |
- Introduction: the measurement chain, characterization of measurement systems, measurement signals
- Measurement uncertainty
- Measurement of electrical quantities: current and voltage
- Measurement of resistances and impedances, bridge circuits
- Selected resistive, inductive and capacitive sensors
- Measurement of non-electrical quantities (position, angle, speed, acceleration, strain, force, temperature, pressure and flow)
- Time and frequency measurement
- Digital measurement technology and computer-aided data acquisition
