Objectives Give an understanding to the following main topics: Material- and process development of “wood/natural fiber – polymer – composites” (WPC/NFC), properties, applications, ecological aspects
Subject Definition of WPC/NFC, standards, history, ecological aspects, development of formulations – choosing of components (matrix polymers, natural fillers, and additives), processing (extrusion, injection moulding, kneader), properties/characterisation, correlations between processing and properties, applications, new research topics
Criteria for evaluation Term paper – presentation
Methods Presentation with ppt, case samples and samples, guidance through pilot plants SP2
