Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Sustainable Polymer Engineering & Circular Economy 2023W
Objectives Students can use the knowledge acquired from basic training and extended skills to design sustainable components, select the most suitable processing technology or optimize it by means of simulation, or design digital twins in order to be able to efficiently optimize the sustainable products and manufacturing processes of the future with models based on simulated and/or experimental process or component data.
Subject The content of teaching results from the content of the individual courses. The subjects compiled in Electives I include in-depth teaching content of plastics engineering with sustainable processing technologies, digital transformation, and simulation methods for predicting product and component properties. The course content includes aspects of polymer testing, processing, as well as product development and digitalization of the engineering of sustainable polymer components.
Further information When all subjects are completed, students can use the knowledge they have learned to design sustainable components, select the most appropriate processing technology, and design digital twins to represent the products of the future with models based on experimental component data.
