Objectives |
The aim of this course is to equip students with a practical understanding of information visualization: a multi-disciplinary recipe of science, math, technology, and many other interesting ingredients. The emphasis of the module is to instill the necessary critical thinking required to best judge the many analytical, practical, and design decisions involved in this activity. Students will go through the process of designing and implementing a web-based interactive dashboard consisting of multiple visualizations.

Subject |
Introduction to tools and libraries that help create tailored interactive visualizations and dashboards. Basic knowledge of web technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is recommended.

Criteria for evaluation |
The course is project-based. Grading is based on presentations, active participation in discussions, and the delivery of a final report together with the documented source code.
