Objectives This course is directed towards students who already collected experience with electronic circuits. Each participant receives a problem that is to be solved by an electronic circuit. Each participant conceives a proposal which will be discussed in the course. Each participant designs a circuit board layout which will also be discussed in the course. Finally the circuits are built and tested and a report has to be written.
Subject Behaviour of passive components in real circuits. Introduction to circuit board technologies. Important aspects for the construction of electronic assemblies. Introduction to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). Frequent mistakes in circuit design.
