Objectives Students have competent knowledge of current scientific literature in selected topics of the subject "Production and Logistics". They can summarize and present scientific literature within a teamwork procedure. They have basic knowledge of selected software systems, modeling language and solution techniques for decision support in production, logistics and supply chain management. They are able to deal with planning situations using appropriate software tools and interpret the results.
Subject After an introduction to scientific writing (proper citing, sources of literature, plagiarism), the basics of presenting, and, if required for the selected theme, a decision support software tool, students work (partially in small teams) to prepare a specific topic in the field of production, logistics or supply chain management. On this basis, completed by current articles in scientific journals, students write a seminar paper and hold a presentation.
