| Objectives |
Students know the relationship between corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (ESG Environmental, Social and Governance) and the financial success and risk of companies. The consideration of the links occurs finance theoretically and on the basis of empirical evidence. Students are able to assess Governance and CSR concepts and the impact of ESG on the enterprise value.

| Subject |
The course deals with Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility concepts in an international finance context and discusses different theoretical perspectives. The link between ESG (Environmental, social and governance) and financial performance, risk, capital costs and firm value is addressed. The relationship between ESG and performance will be analyzed at the company and the portfolio level (Socially responsible investing).
